Frequently asked questions
What is the South East RENAL Network?
South East RENAL is the children's kidney care network for South East England. It connects 25 hospitals so that children and young people with kidney conditions can receive expert care closer to home, coordinated through the specialist tertiary hub at Evelina London Children's Hospital.
Which hospitals are part of the network?
The network is made up of one tertiary hub (Evelina London Children's Hospital), 10 specialist clinics and 14 link hospitals across South East England. You can see them all on the interactive map on our home page.
How do I find my nearest kidney unit?
Use the hospital finder on the home page: enter your postcode or choose 'Use GPS' and it will show your nearest specialist centre and its location on the map.
Who is the network for?
The network supports children and young people with kidney conditions, their parents and families, and the healthcare professionals who care for them across South East England.
How can I contact the network?
You can email the network team at gst-tr.southeastrenalnetwork@nhs.net. For urgent medical concerns, contact your child's clinical team directly or, in an emergency, call 999.
